Happy Employee Appreciation Day from NW Works! Today, NW Works celebrated our employees through a breakfast bar! Today and everyday, we're thankful for the support and commitment of our staff as they serve adults with disabilities in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.

We're also thankful to our 55 business partners who recognize the value of inclusive employment and have the privilege of employing those we support. Today, 34 individuals supported by NW Works are being recognized as first-time job holders, or new employees. Whether this is a first job, or just a fresh start on a new passion, each job represents the commitment each employee has to meeting their goal of employment.

In total, 133 individuals supported by NW Works are currently employed in our community and through AbilityOne contracts and have the opportunity to be recognized by their employers. On this Employee Appreciation Day, we’re sending our heartfelt thanks to our own staff, our 55 business partners, and the 133 individuals who, through NW Works’ services, are receiving recognition from their employer.

Through the collaboration between employees, employers, Direct Support Professionals who prepare individuals with skills and confidence, and Employment Specialists who build on those qualities, adults with disabilities in the Northern Shenandoah Valley are pursuing and maintaining employment— and here at NW Works we’re certain that’s something to be appreciated!
