Celebrating Direct Support Professional Appreciation Week 2025- A Message from NW Works’ CEO
To Our Incredible Direct Support Professionals,
As we celebrate Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week from September 7–13, 2025, on behalf of our Board of Directors and Leadership, I want to take a moment to express respect and gratitude for your dedication and extraordinary work in support of our mission and the individuals we serve together.
At NW Works, you are the heart and soul of our mission. You are more than just caregivers; you are mentors, advocates, and trusted partners for the individuals, families, guardians, and caregivers we support. You empower people with disabilities to achieve their goals, maximize independence, and live full and meaningful lives within our community.
The compassion, patience, and commitment you bring to your roles every single day make a lasting difference in the lives of the individuals you see and for the many that are touched by the individuals you support. You navigate complex challenges with skill and empathy, and you create meaningful connections that help foster growth and inclusion. It is your unique and caring effort that truly brings our vision and mission to life.
DSP Week is a time to shine a spotlight on your key role. Please know that our appreciation extends far beyond this week. The work you do is invaluable and deeply respected by everyone at NW Works, as well as by the individuals and families you support.
Thank you for your personal touch, your inspiring spirit, and your ongoing commitment. Your work inspires hope and is a powerful force for good in our community and in the lives of your colleagues and the individuals you support.
With the greatest respect and gratitude,
Grady W (Skip) Philips, III
