Building the Future of NW Works

We have some very exciting news to share with you! Some of you may recall our plans of building a new facility "from scratch". As time passed, various obstacles and opportunities came our way. While the goal of a new facility remained steadfast and constant, our vision of what the new building would be had to change to accommodate the new prospects we faced. Out of those prospects came the opportunity to purchase the previous Melnor facility on Shawnee Drive in Winchester. We are proud to now call that facility "home".

Watching our new 58,000 square foot WorkCenter evolve has been an exhilarating process as it has taken shape and transformed before our very eyes. The acreage is beautiful and the whole site is full of potential and promise, just like the future of NW Works! Exterior changes made to our facility have included landscaping, a new covered entryway for our workers, and a new look for our guest entry. On the inside, we have added an exercise room, media center, a fully operational training kitchen, a craft room, and an autism center. Future changes include the completion of our second training kitchen and the addition of two exterior pavilions. Also, for our community partners, we are now able to offer the use of our conference rooms, the largest of which can hold up to 100 guests.

Starting the New Year in our new WorkCenter has been a wonderful way to kick off 2011. It's truly an exciting time for the NW Works organization, and we look forward to sharing this excitement with you. Stop by and see us!
